Premium Targets Planning
  • Business leaders are able to drive growth premium targets (New Business & Renewal Business premium) based on PY numbers, so Agency Sales Managers (ASMs) can forecast to their respective states and agents based on top down approach.
  • The premium targets are distributed from “Anaplan’s Planning, Budgeting, & Forecasting for Insurance” App via the GWP Target Setting process
  • Under Premium Growth by Product Line the above growth targets are distributed by region and product line. This allows the VP to distribute the growth proportion in terms of customer acquisition and premium price increases.
Profitability Forecasting
  • The growth targets set by the business leaders at region level for New Business & Renewal Business premiums are shown in the Agency Sales Manager dashboard to distribute by state and agent.
  • The Agency Sales Manager is responsible for forecasting underwriting, acquisition, fees, and premium annualization cost based on PY numbers and applying appropriate growth rate.
  • The PY numbers are loaded at Agent level and rolled up to state than region through the hierarchy.
  • The growth forecast targets are distributed top down based on PY numbers at each level.
  • here is also the functionality to override the default top down distribution to further customize the forecast at Agency level.
  • Forecast premium amounts from top down planning are distributed to sales districts and agents within districts for both renewal and new business.
  • View agent level performance of written premiums against loss to measure total loss ratio
  • View agent level metrics month over month for policies in force, net applications, and retention rate
Retention & Defections
  • Model key retention drivers such as customer cancellations, policy lapses, and policy reinstatements to view the overall impact on agency performance month over month
Analyze Policy Line Trends and At Risk Policies
  • Agent Sales Managers and agents can drill down to policy level details to see cancellations, lapses, and reinstatements across lines of business by month
Model Policies in Force and Premium based on Renewals and Conversion Rates
  • Look at key at risk policies based on number of lapses and days past due to ensure direct retention efforts are in place. View customer by number of policy lines to drive multi-line activity
Monitor Agency Satisfaction Scores and Trends
  • Sales Directors can view regional performance to customer satisfaction surveys across a variety of measures
  • Agency Sales Managers can drill down from agent to policy to view individual survey scores to assist agents that need improvement in customer relations
